Fabulous Find: Frosted Petticoat

I just have to share this chocolatey goodness with you all. Some of my past clients, bride & her mother (& her sister) launched a chocolate shoppe that does chocolate pops in shapes like mustaches, keys, buttons, and of course petticoats. They are knows as The Frosted Petticoat (love that name).

I definitely couldn't resist these chocolate 'staches. How adorable would these be at a photo booth to take photos with and then take & have a little late night snack.

 I love the variety of options like these keys above. You can also customize if they are white chocolate, or a combo, and they can be painted almost any color if you want to customize your order.

 These buttons are super fun too and come in an array of colors like these Amber Gold Glimmer as well as: Starlight White Glimmer, Blue, Pink, Yellow, Green, Violet, and Burnt Copper. 

 They also have chocolate boxes like this cameo box as well as a vintage jewelry box.  

And with Halloween coming up they've got these fantastic cameo skeletons as well as skeleton caskets.

They also have these beautiful masks as well as bustiers for a bachelorette party or bridal shower.

Real Wedding: Lisa & Quinn

 Lisa & Quinn live down in San Diego but wanted a destination wedding to have a whole weekend to celebrate. 

 They fell in love with the Los Olivos area and ultimately settled on having their wedding at Firestone Vineyards. 

  Quinn is in the coastguard and Lisa is a teacher. 

 Camilla Svensson Burns did all of the amazing florals for the day. 

 Photos were taken by the very kind Alex Morgan of BlueSilver Photography.

 The bridesmaids wore a fantastic shade of eggplant purple and the men were in traditional black tuxedos. 

Lisa saw the babysbreath idea on JL Designs blog and knew she definitely wanted to incorporate it somewhere. 

Babysbreath, like carnations, is not normally a first choice for weddings, but when they are all bunched together the look can be quite beautiful. 

And what better to use as a ceremony table at a winery than a wine barrel...

 The bride and her mother did these escort cards thanks to the Brides Collection of DIY stationary at Michaels. Camilla brought in the crates and coffee beans and rose blooms to finish it off. 

 To do things a little differently, we had the dance floor in the center surrounded by all of the family style feasting tables. The food was catered by New West Catering and rentals came from Party Pleasers.

  There were several different style centerpieces which helped create visual appeal and helped keep the budget in check. 

 As favors Lisa & Quinn gave each of their guests a homemade caramel apple. 

 Fruit is a unique and beautiful way to go with the florals and can be cost effective as well. 

 And peaches too. The leaves added that bit of autumn to finish off the piece. 

 After the formal photos and the first look, Quinn did away with the boutonnière in exchange for his medals that he's earned in the coastguard. 

 My boy Gavin, of Santa Barbara DJ's, rocked the night away and the guests just did not want to leave the dance floor. 

 Another DIY project from the bride and her mother, the other side reads "Thank" & "You". 

And oh the cake. This was a simple ivory fondant covered cake from the Solvang Bakery, but after Camilla got her hands on it, it became a work of art. 

 This is a more modern way of doing the traditional cascade down the cake, more asymmetrical. 

Featured: Hostess with the Mostess

I was excited when our tablescape was featured on Style Me Pretty, but to also have it featured on Hostess with the Mostess, was more than I anticipated. It was a wonderful surprise.

Twilight Wedding: Luxe for Less

Lina and I wanted to come up with Luxe for Less Look. There are so many inspriations out there and if given an unlimited budget could be pulled of for a wedding of 150, but in reality, we don't all have that luxury.

To get a similar, Twilight, look without breaking the bank, we used a traditional round table which most venues carry. We covered it with a camel color poly cotton linen.

We used solid white china and clear glassware and traditional silverware.

For the chairs we used an antique finish wooden folding chair to still give it that outdoorsy whimsical feel.

Instead of 2 candelabras we used one to achieve a similar look surrounded by some of the smaller and less expensive arrangements.

For Edward and Bella's chairs we used a simple glass vessel with an opened white rosehead.

Vendor Pick: Flower Wild

Words can't really describe how gorgeous, whimsical, and ethereal Flower Wild's work is.

Honestly, every arrangement looks so effortless and it looks as if all of the flowers have been picked from a luscious backyard full of peonies, garden roses, and ranunculus.

I'm going to just let the flowers speak for themselves.
