Real Wedding: Brad & Emily

It was a stunning day in the small town of Montecito, California just outside of Santa Barbara. Brad and Emily currently live in New York city, but both of their families and most of their friends are back home in California, so it only made sense to have the wedding there. They wanted it to be simple and classy, and for everyone to just have a great time.
The bride wore a Forever Yours dress and made it her own by adding a vintage brooch with a purple ribbon sash as well as vintage Czech glass beaded necklace, also in purple. She wore gorgeous and unique grey shoes from Loeffler Randall.
The groom wore a Hugo Boss suit with a purple tie.
The J Crew bridesmaid dresses were also in purple. Each bridesmaid wore an Agapantha hand-crafted necklace. And instead of a traditional bouquet, each bridesmaid carried a vintage purse adorned with a few ivory roses.
They decided to have the ceremony at the groom’s parent’s vacation home; a back yard wedding. As guests arrived they were welcomed by galvanized tubs with beer and wine, as well as water and lemonade. The bride, Emily, hung together photographs of her relationship with her soon to be husband, Brad, as well as pictures from their childhood which was a great conversation piece.
Guests were then ushered into the backyard as the sound of a string quartet was creating the atmosphere of romance and joy. Both the bride and the groom walked with each of their parents down the aisle and stood before a background of floating rose heads.
After the ceremony concluded guests drove down the street to the gorgeous Valley Club for the cocktail hour and reception.
Each guest found their escort card which was placed in wooden trays filled with coffee beans.
And they also had a chance to write a note to the bride and groom on vintage post cards in lieu of a traditional guestbook. During their first year of marriage, they will have a postcard mailed to them each week, to re-live the day again and again.
The reception took place in multiple adjoining dining rooms throughout the Valley Club. The bride knew she had to have the wood tables from Classic to give her the natural look she was going for. The bride bought all of the mason jars and vintage bottles and vases for the wildflowers that SR Hogue put together. The bride also purchased simple burlap runners for each table to continue with the simple, rustic feel.
As favors guests took home terra cota pots with seeds to plant their own wildflowers at home and have the flowering plants be a living reminder of the love that Brad & Emily share for one another.
To help keeps costs down, the Bride and Groom decided to create a mix on their iPod for the wedding, which I was wary of at first, but it ended up working out great and they had one of the bridesmaids emcee.
This wedding was all about family and friends coming together and having a great time in celebration of the beginning of the marriage of Brad & Emily.

The rustic touches are so tastefully interwoven with beautiful classic wedding elements! The wildflower-seeds favors are such a cute idea.
