Vendor Pick: Jasmine Star Photography

What is there to say, really, about one of the sweetest people on the planet, Jasmine Star. I had the pleasure of working with her last year at Hummingbird Nest Ranch (see a photo below, the one with the fuschia bouquet) and have been dying to work with her again. I can honestly say that I've never seen a bad photo that either her or her partner in life and second photographer, her husband, JD has taken, and i've seen thousands, literally. I will also admit that I stalk her blog on a regular basis. And not only is she an artist and visionary capturing life as it happens, but her words and descriptions of her brides and grooms make you feel like you know them personally and have become a part of their story. If you need a photographer to capture your day, Jasmine would be at the top of my list. And if I were to redo my wedding, I'd be honored if she'd take them. I'll just let you see for yourself.

Inspiration: French Garden

I ran across this gorgeous design inspiration and it's as if I was transported to somewhere far away. They call it "Estate of the Art", created for Brides Magazine. For this post I'm going to let the photos speak for themselves. This gorgeous and breathtaking location is actually here in the states. It's the Oheka Castle in New York.

Vendor Pick: Sweet and Saucy

I absolutely love Twitter...because...I find about amazing wedding vendors that can just blow your socks off sometimes.

I had the pleasure of tasting Sweet and Saucy at a halloween networking party I went to a few weeks back. The display was unreal and you can see it a few photos down.

This cake below was a focal point on the dessert buffet that Sweet and Saucy created with the help of Carissa of JL Designs.

My favorite treat was the pumpkin cake lollipops. Now why didn't I think of that??? I've seem lamb lollipops with mint apply chutney, I've seen marshallow covered by chocolate lollipops, but it seems so simple. If you love cupcakes, then you'll love the cake lollipops. It's just the right amount to not make you stuffed plus no need for a fork or plate. Love it!!!

And recently Melody, the genius behind Sweet and Saucy made 500 cookies for the Ellen show as a gift from Oprah for the release of the new edition of O Magazine, where Oprah and Ellen share the cover. The photo below is a similar cookie, but the cool thing is, the center can be a photo of almost anything, it can be your daughter's face, a company logo, or a damask pattern, the sky's the limit.

And you can also have Melody and her team create a one of a kind cookie masterpiece with frosting, marzipan, and fondant. Fabulous!!!

And, how sweet does Melody look? And the best part is you can have Sweet and Saucy treats almost any day of the week by going down to their storefront in Long Beach. Open tuesday through friday from 11 to 7 and open Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 5, and closed on Monday. You can stop by to see them at 6400 Stearns Street, Long Beach, CA 90815.

Accessory Wednesday: It's All Twisted

When I got married a few years ago I knew I wanted a little bling for my bouquet, but I didn't find any that I liked. So, I made them myself. I created bouquet jewelry for myself and my bridesmaids. I then took the swarovski crystals and pearls and made earrings out of them for each of the girls and a pair for myself to not only have a memory of my wedding day but to be a little green and repurpose something from the wedding.

The bouquet jewelry can be stems with a single jewel on the end or then can be clusters. I wanted a name that seemed fitting and since I twist so much wire to make these, I chose the name It's All Twisted. Top 2 photos taken by VCS Photo of a bouquet by The Enchanted Florist.

I can also make cake jewelry like this flower here (Cake by A Sweet Design), or any shape or letter you're looking for.

Bouquet by J L Designs. Photo by Jasmine Star.

Then, after the wedding, i can reuse the jewels and create a bracelet like the one you see here, or...

...perhaps a pair of earrings...

Every items is custom made and I would love to create something for your special day.
