Alternative Christmas Market

This Sunday, December 2 at All Saints in Pasadena is the annual Alternative Christmas Market. Some wish for peace among men and hope for the poor, this is a great way to make that a reality. You can purchase shelter for the homeless, toys for foster children, or animals for a small village. It's a great way to share your love with people less fortunate than we are.

Christmas in Pasadena

On November 23 make your way over to One Colorado at 6:00 P.M. when Santa arrives to light the dazzling 35-foot Christmas tree and the 90th Rose Queen® makes one of her first public appearances. The One Colorado Courtyard will also host a heart-warming holiday performance by the Pasadena Tabernacle Children’s chorus, which is made up of 80 children from the Pasadena area. The audience is invited to sing-along to the concert, which will be filled with everyone’s seasonal favorites.

At the Tree-Lighting, everyone is asked to bring an unwrapped toy or book for the Charles Cherniss Tournament of Toys toy drive, which benefits children throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Children and adults who donate an unwrapped toy or book will receive a FREE photo with Santa at One Colorado from 6:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., on November 23rd only.

Black is the New Green

Recently google created a sister search engine, The screen in predominately black due to findings that a darker screen uses less energy than a lighter screen. For the same reasonI chose to color my blog black as well in an effort to be more green. We all share this planet and it's our responsibility to do what we can to make it a better place now and for the future. Every little bit helps. To get more info go to

There is an awesome website called Greenopia. They have researched "green" businesses in L.A. and San Francisco and will soon add New York City to it's list. You can find gifts, restaurants, and grocery stores that are all "green" and help us keep our world beautiful for generations to come.
