My Favorite Cake Ever

I first heard of Sweet & Saucy through JL Designs, and I've been hooked ever since. I tell every client who hasn't already booked their baker to seriously consider Melody of Sweet & Saucy. And sometimes I'll even take the 405 instead of the 5 just so I have a reason to stop at Sweet & Saucy's shop & buy something. Not only are her desserts scrumptious, delectable, and oh so good, they are pieces of art for the eyes.
Recently she did this cake for a wedding, with JL Designs, and it was love at first sight!! If I could do my wedding all over again, I would choose this cake in a heart beat. I've just never seen anything like it and I still drop my jaw just a little every time I see it.

Vendor Pick: Picotte Photography

I met Suthi of Picotte Photography on Twitter before meeting her face to face.
We got together for lunch at my favorite restaurant, "Home", in Silverlake. The mashed potatoes were ah-may-zing.

We totally clicked right away. As soon as I got home I looked at her site and her blog and my eyes were filled with joy, wonder, and awe.

Her style is so beautiful and classic. These are photos that will not look outdated or trendy 30, 40, or 50 years from now. I love that.

She takes into account every detail of the day, which I also love.

Snatch her up quick as she gets booked way in advance now, because she's just that good.

Vendor Pick: Found

I was first introduced to this company, by name that is, by Susan of Peony & Plum.
As soon as I took a look at their blog I was BLOWN AWAY by all the shabby chic and vintage pieces for rent.
It's a flea market junkies dream.
From chairs & tables to couches, vessels, vases, frames, chalkboards, and more, they've got it all.
I can't help but think of creative ideas of how to use all of their pieces to make a special event or wedding that much more unique and memorable.
These last photos are of the wedding ceremony of Jasmine Star's sister, Bianca, who got married recently at Sunstone Winery in Santa Ynez.
These pieces fit so perfectly into the rustic, romantic vibe of the place.
