Upcoming Real Wedding

This weekend will be a fabulous wedding to kick off 2010.

I'll be working with a boatload of fabulous vendors including:
Fleur De Liz Events (fabulous flowers)
Vox DJ's (get this party started)
Garner Films (ooooh la la)

Stay tuned for all the fabulous photos taken by Jasmine. I love her. If I got married now instead of 4 years ago, I'd book her in a heartbeat.

Congratulations Laura & Carlos!!!!

Spring Soiree: Alice in Wonderland

After the Twilight Tablescape, Lina & I knew the next one had to be Alice in Wonderland.
And what better opportunity than to showcase it as the main tablescape at the Spring Soiree for Calligraphy Katrina & Maison Du Papier.
We borrowed all of the china pieces and mixed and matched to have a classy but eclectic vibe.
We found this vintage Alice in Wonderland book, on eBay of course, and Katrina did a fabulous job on the invite.
We found this clock for less than $10 at Home Goods to use as our table number.
A Sweet Design made all the fabulous treats & desserts (2 cakes, brownies, & mini cakes reading "eat me")
We bought these vintage glass bottles at Michaels for 99 cents. Cute and inexpensive DIY project.
Peony & Plum did all the fabulous floral decor & BBJ Linen provided the light blue lamour & white garden cutout overlay.
And I had to get these oversize vintage keys from Pottery Barn. I just had to.

This is making me want to have some tea now.

The Spring Soiree

Calligraphy Katrina approached Lina Wallace and myself about planning her launch party for her new nvitation line, Maison Du Papier. We said "of course".
She chose to host it in the boutique of Alina Pizzano who creates one of a kind couture gowns.
BBJ Linen offered to sponsor by providing all of our linens.
Aaron Okayama took all of the fabulous photos.
Peony & Plum provided all of the amazing flowers.
A Sweet Design provided treats to eat & display treats for our Alice in Wonderland Table.
Stacy Bisel was giving mini makeovers to the guests.
Executive Chefs Rick Jones & Tenisha Hall made some amazing french inspired appetizers.
A Rental Connection hooked us up with all the rentals we needed.
The Crown City Combo offered their musical talents to entertain our guests.
The Event Studio gave away a fabulous raffle prize for a free meeting in their space.
Get Married Magazine was kind enough to give each of our guests the new issue, hot off the press.
Koko Candles provided favors for our goodie bags along with Weddingish, & Charles Lauren Films.
A Stunning Affair & Events by Heather Ham designed all 5 tablescapes (keep an eye out for detail shots in the next blog post) .
Stay tuned for more pics of the fabulous tablescapes.

Vendor Pick: Alina Pizzano Couture

I had the pleasure of meeting Alina a month ago when Lina Wallace and I were asked to plan a launch party for Calligraphy Katrina at her boutique.
Each dress is custom created and made for each bride. No one else in the world will be wearing you're dress.
And prices start at just $2,500 for a custom couture gown.
Her boutique is in Pasadena and she will take care of you. Believe me.
Alina Pizzano does truly beautiful work.
