Vendor Pick: Lauryl Lane
I had the pleasure of having breakfast with Lauryl at Home Restaurant in Silver Lake. She is such a sweet and down to earth person and we found ourselves talking for hours, literally.
Lauryl Lane has worked alongside some of my favorite industry leaders such as Jasmine Star, Jessica Claire, Grey Likes Weddings, and more.
There's something so lovely and beautiful about her work. And I admire her attention to detail, like the cards underneath each boutonniere to label who the recipient is. It's the little things that make her stand apart from the rest.
She is a true designer, in every sense of the term. The quality and precision and beauty of her work is a breath of fresh air.

Celebrity Wedding: Fergie & Josh
I grew up watching Kids Incoporated when Fergie was still known as Stacy Ferguson. She and her now hubby, Josh Duhamel, had a goregous and magical wedding from what I can see in US Magazine. Click here to see the magazine spread from US.
These amazing invitations were done by Lehr & Black. They also do a phenomenal job. And there's a hidden unicorn if you can find it.
They got married at the Church Estate Vineyard in Malibu, CA. Gorgeous Property.
And of course, Mindy Weiss, who planned the weddings of Trista & Ryan, Avril & Derick, and Jessica & Nick, was the planner for Fergie and Josh.
The entire bridal party, Bride, and Groom were decked out in Dolce & Gabbana.
And the cake was delivered from the celebrity favorite cake artisans, Perfect Endings in Napa, CA.

Real Wedding: Lisa & Sudha
I had the pleasure of being the lead planner for my mentor, Mary Sushinski, of Occasions. She had a baby in August (Jackson Dean, the cutest little guy ever) and that's when this wedding took place, so I helped out and filled her shoes as best I could.
This lovely wedding took place at the Athanaeum in Pasadena. This venue has a very classic and understated elegance to it.
The flowers were done by Amy Smith.
The bride and MOB (mother of the bride) had their dresses custom made for a fraction of the designer's costs. Gorgeous!!!
The day before the traditional wedding ceremony, they had an Indian wedding ceremony. So they incorporated a few Indian elements into the day like this gorgeous structure from Raj Tents which was later used as a Henna Station.
The chiavari chairs were rented from Chiavaris 4 Rent.
The photos were taken by Nick Boswell Photography.
The fabulous cake was done by A Sweet Design. What a work of art this cake was!!!
All of the lighting was done by the fantastic Sid Khera and his team at Aspect Lighting.
The bride and groom wanted to party all night and made the investment in Jay Sterling Music and had a live band perform at the reception.

Vendor Pick: JL Designs
Carissa, owner and mastermind behind JL Designs is all around fabulous. Her work is genius and breathtaking and she takes into account every detail and never disappoints. When you walk into a room that Carissa has worked her magic you can't help but take a step back and just drop your jaw and say "WOW".
I first worked with Carissa and JL Designs back in 2008 at Phil & Nicole's wedding at Hummingbird Nest Ranch. The colors were white, navy blue, and fuschia. And I was so impressed by Carissa's style and presentation and genuine care in what she does. She is amazing at what she does!!!
From modern and fabulous...
to colorful and rich....
to casual and chic....
to unique and organic...
JL Designs can do it all...
