Vendor Pick: Picotte Photography

I met Suthi of Picotte Photography on Twitter before meeting her face to face.
We got together for lunch at my favorite restaurant, "Home", in Silverlake. The mashed potatoes were ah-may-zing.

We totally clicked right away. As soon as I got home I looked at her site and her blog and my eyes were filled with joy, wonder, and awe.

Her style is so beautiful and classic. These are photos that will not look outdated or trendy 30, 40, or 50 years from now. I love that.

She takes into account every detail of the day, which I also love.

Snatch her up quick as she gets booked way in advance now, because she's just that good.

Vendor Pick: Meg Perotti Photography

I had the pleasure of meeting Meg Perotti over coffee after she donated an amazing canvas print for an industry event for The Knot Wedding Magazine. She is super sweet and very calm and creative. I love her work. There isn't one image that I've seen of hers that disappoints. She is a true artist and it shows.
She photographs all over California, North & South, and will travel too. From weddings to family portraits, from senior pics to anytime shoots, it's truly a worthy investment to have Meg capture those special moments.
Plus, if that's not enough, she will setup a "photo booth" for you at your wedding where guests can show their true colors and you will really get a picture of everyone at your wedding. So fun!!!!

Sneak Peak

Last week I had the pleasure of making a bouquet for an old classmate and friend, Lindy. We shared several classes together back at APU. I was reading updated statuses on my facebook and found out that she was retaking her wedding photos with her husband. They wanted to take the time and invest in a good photographer for wedding photos they'd be proud of and one's to show their kids one day and adorn the walls of their home. So, I asked if I could give her the gift of making her wedding bouquet. So in the photo you see, the first one I have so far, is the bouquet I made and this is a sneak peak of what's to come and I'll post the other photos in a few days.

One thing I think is worth investing in is PHOTOS. Even if you don't have a big budget for a wedding, photos are worth a 1000+ words and since you're wedding day only happens once you should have it captured in the best light. If you're willing to shell out the big bucks you could go to Jasmine Star , Victor Sizemore, B & G Photo or Boutwell Studios. If you're still looking for beautiful photos but have a smaller budget you could go to Tira J (who did this photo), Epic Imagery, Drew B, or Heather Jagger.

Vendor Pick: Occasions Bridal Consulting and Event Design

Mary Sushinski, of Occasions Bridal Consulting & Event Design, is my mentor and personal friend and also my wedding coordinator. She has been in this business for quite some time and it shows. She is nothing but professional and she knows the best of the best in the business. She can help you make your inspiration and ideas come to life. Here is some of her work which she did with R. Jack Balthazar. Photos done by David Michael.
