When I got married a few years ago I knew I wanted a little bling for my bouquet, but I didn't find any that I liked. So, I made them myself. I created bouquet jewelry for myself and my bridesmaids. I then took the swarovski crystals and pearls and made earrings out of them for each of the girls and a pair for myself to not only have a memory of my wedding day but to be a little green and repurpose something from the wedding.
The bouquet jewelry can be stems with a single jewel on the end or then can be clusters. I wanted a name that seemed fitting and since I twist so much wire to make these, I chose the name It's All Twisted. Top 2 photos taken by VCS Photo of a bouquet by The Enchanted Florist.
I can also make cake jewelry like this flower here (Cake by A Sweet Design), or any shape or letter you're looking for.
Bouquet by J L Designs. Photo by Jasmine Star.
Then, after the wedding, i can reuse the jewels and create a bracelet like the one you see here, or...
...perhaps a pair of earrings...
Every items is custom made and I would love to create something for your special day.

Accessory Wednesday: DIY Shoe Bling
Don't forget about the shoes. You may have seen lately that the trend is to have fabulous and colorful shoes to peak out from under your fabulous white gown. But to take it one step further, you can bling them out yourself.
When Jasmine Star ( a photographer worth blog stalking and knowing) said that her bride Alicia customized a pair of Manolo Blahnik's people were so excited. What they may not have realized, which the bride and photographer, Alicia of The Modern Type Photography, found the fab shoes at a Neiman Marcus outlet and the bling was a brooch she wore at another wedding, and she borrowed one from the other girls to have 2 that matched.
How to Bling Your Shoes:
1. Buy Your Shoes, the more colorful and fabulous, the better
2. Buy 2 brooches that match, which could be your something borrowed, blue, old, or new
3. Wear them with pride!!!
Have fun blinging your shoes. Who doesn't love a little bling???

Inspiration: The New Carnation
Now, carnations are not my favorite flower in the world. They often have the conotation of "cheap" or "chincy" written all over them. However, when places together, side by side, in a grouping they can actually look quite fabulous. And because of the fact that they are a more inexpensive flower, you can still get that wow factor you're going for and stay under budget. Now that's some good news.
Here's a gorgeous centerpiece from Nancy Liu Chin.

Here are some great and bright ideas found on The Knot.

Here's a great idea from Martha Stewart...and I love the color combo of aqua and red. Stay tuned for an "Inspiration" blog post on this color combo coming soon...
Here's another spin on the pomander, found at Project Wedding.
These manzanita branches with pomanders could flank the ceremony altar or add a little focal interest to the escort card table. I wouldn't suggest these as centerpieces as they would block your view. This was found on Ashley's Bride Guide.
This amazing masterpiece was created by Beautiful Blooms and wow, what a showpiece!!!
This preppy number was found at DIY Bride.
These pomanders were created by Bouquets of Austin and found on Project Wedding.
These chic and DIY centerpieces are so basic, and there's numerous one's so your guests can take them home as gifts. Found on Brides.com, Photo by Anna Williams.
Here's a modern yet romantic take on carnations, as seen on DIY Bride.
These little gifts can be found in the pages of Brides Magazine.
Another great design from Brides Magazine. This would be great for a bridal shower, baby shower, or a little girls birthday party. So cute.
Now that's how you display escort cards. How simple and chic is this idea from The Knot?
And wow, what a cake. And who else but Martha Stewart would design such a simple and chic masterpiece?

Vendor Pick: An Elegant Touch
Two words...PIRATE CHIC.
I was stumblimg through photos on Project Wedding when I ran across this gorgeous table display with deep scarlet red roses and cala lillies a top a black candelabra with a chandalier above dripping in black crystals. I had to sit back and say WOW!!! Then I looked at more of the details such as the black candles with a silver skull standing out in silver glitter, a sparkly silver skull sat next to a small arrangement of red roses, even the china had a pirate print pattern. An you really can't go wrong with Chameleon Chairs, slick black with a little crystal detail.
I can't help but love those who are inventive and unique and chic in their designs. You can see more of their work on their site as well as at project wedding. An Elegant Touch is amazing with decor. Again, WOW!!!
