It's official...this is the shoot that keeps on giving. 2 years ago Lina of A Stunning Affair and I teamed up to recreate a Twilight Wedding and tried our best to follow along to the book, and this was way before the movie came out. Well, it's been featured not only on the Bridal Guide website, but we even got a little "sneak peek" of it in the most recent Bridal Guide magazine. YAY!!!

So far it's been featured on Style Me Pretty, Hostess With The Mostess (Part 1) (Part 2), in Woman's World Magazine, on countless Twi-Hard Blogs, and now Bridal Guide Magazine. Gotta love all the shout outs.

For those of you who frequent my blog, you have have noticed I've been rather MIA. Many things have been happening, the biggest one being that my husband, Rob, got a new job down in Carlsbad, California so we are our our 4th address in 2 years. We plan on sticking around for some time though. So we are currently living in Oceanside/Vista in North County San Diego and we love it here. He became the Jr. High Pastor at Day Break Church in Carlsbad. I'm still working my many jobs and reevaluating things as of late.

The photo above is by favorite photographer, Picotte Weddings, and the bouquet is by my favorite florist, Peony & Plum. I call us the "Dream Team". Stay tuned for more pretty photos of a backyard wedding in Palos Verdes.

In honor of all hallow's eve where you can dress up and be almost anyone, I thought I'd share some of my favorite Fantasy Theme Weddings.

This Tron inspired wedding is absolutely brilliant. Check out the feature on Green Wedding Shoes for all the details.

This shoot was inspired by Tangled, but of course. Love this one as seen on Wedding Chicks.

This one was inspired by Super Mario. This one is so imaginative. I love it. See it here on Green Wedding Shoes.

Then of course theirs the fantastical scene of the wedding ceremony of Edward & Bella. In case you didn't already know, I'm a big Twilight Fan. I'm also Team Edward. I'm prepared to see the movie opening night! Can't wait!!!

Celebrity Wedding: Hilary Duff

Ok, so we've all seen a lot of celebrity weddings, and being in this business, I've seen a lot of weddings in general. But this wedding, of Hilary Duff, to me stands out above the rest.

Her dress was an original Vera Wang fit for a princess.

Ok, so out of all the celebrity weddings I've seen, by far, my favorite decor of any celeb wedding is this one. I love all of the antique hanging lamps, swagged fabric draping, and the gardeny feel of many of today's weddings. It was over the top but not in a stuffy way, it was romantic, and warm & inviting.

And my fabulous friends over at Fantasy Frostings did this wedding cake, and I love that it's a unique spin on a traditional white cake. So unique.

Fun Fact: She was the same age I was when I got married.

Celebrity Wedding: Niecy Nash

I love the show "Clean House" and was so excited to see it's host tie the knot.

She used a very popular color for weddings which is lavendar & had an outdoor wedding at a Church Estate Vineyards (same place Fergie got married) in Malibu, California.

My colleague, Heidi Ryder took all the photos and did a fabulous job. This must have been a really fun wedding ot be at. Wish I could have been there...

The cake was from the fabulous bakery in Santa Monica called Vanilla Bake Shop. They're stuff is really good.

And she followed the trend of the matching but mismatching bridesmaid dresses, allowing each girl to choose her own style & flair. Love that!!!

Celebrity Wedding: Molly Sims

The photo I loved the most in this wedding is the photo of the bride with her bridesmaids, each in their own unique dress. I absolutely love this trend and if I got married all over again I would definitely let my girls pick their own dresses based on their own styles & budgets.

The bride's Marchesa gown was simple, elegant & romantic.

And who doesn't love nuptuals in wine country?

Fabulous Find: Frosted Petticoat

I just have to share this chocolatey goodness with you all. Some of my past clients, bride & her mother (& her sister) launched a chocolate shoppe that does chocolate pops in shapes like mustaches, keys, buttons, and of course petticoats. They are knows as The Frosted Petticoat (love that name).

I definitely couldn't resist these chocolate 'staches. How adorable would these be at a photo booth to take photos with and then take & have a little late night snack.

I love the variety of options like these keys above. You can also customize if they are white chocolate, or a combo, and they can be painted almost any color if you want to customize your order.

These buttons are super fun too and come in an array of colors like these Amber Gold Glimmer as well as: Starlight White Glimmer, Blue, Pink, Yellow, Green, Violet, and Burnt Copper.

They also have chocolate boxes like this cameo box as well as a vintage jewelry box.

And with Halloween coming up they've got these fantastic cameo skeletons as well as skeleton caskets.

Just Me: We Moved to Oceanside

As many of you may have noticed, I've been a little absent from my blog, and for that I apologize. Things have been busy in my neck of the woods, this past month we made the move farther south to North County San Diego, specifically Oceanside. My husband is a youth pastor and after interning with Saddleback Church for a year put his resume out there and was hired as the Jr. High Youth Pastor at Daybreak Church in Carlsbad. I am so proud of him.

So since his job requires him to be local and mine allows me to be at almost any place in So Cal we gathered our things and our puppy dog and made the move to San Diego. So I have to get my booty in gear and start networking with people down here, so if you're reading this & live in the San Diego or South Orange County area I would LOVE to meet up and treat you to coffee and hear all about San Diego.

So stay tuned for some fun new weddings coming soon including a Great Gatsbyesque wedding at Descanso Gardens with my fave vendors Peony & Plum and Picotte Weddings (photography). Sneak Peak: Real Wedding, Michelle & Ramsses Wonderland Wedding

Here's a little sneak peak of a Wonderland Inspired wedding I did recently with my partner in crime, Lina, of A Stunning Affair.

We co-designed it and she did all of the fabulous floral decor & the bride found all of the vintage elements like books, keys, bottles, tea cups & saucers, and burlap overlays.

We did a drink station with Horchata & Strawberry Water & had moss accent just about everything...

We also used a tree stump to put this drink dispenser, and used another one for the cake to sit on. Loved it!!!!

The bride saw this "hankie" idea at another wedding I did and I still love it. It's so simple, yet so personal.

And the bouquet was inspired by Jessica Claire's Wedding Bouquet and we accented Michelle's with a burlap wrap & a clock key that she found. I love how it came out.

Michelle also saw this idea to do a teapot filled with flowers inside a bird cage. I love how it turned out.

Real Wedding: Kelley & Rob, Part 2

This wedding was inspired by an old southern mansion. The bride & her mother wanted it to feel as if the guests were invited to their home & were wined & dined with the best food, best entertainment, and best decor they could find.

So we used a lot of vintage elements which were rented from Archive Vintage Rentals and filled with floral decor by Peony & Plum who knocked it out of the park, yet again.

For the main table we used a natural wood table setup as a kings banquet table with a white runner, china plates in 4 different colorful patterns and auntique silverware from Classic Party Rentals.

The cake by Fantasty Frostings was covered in handmade sugar rosepetals and sat atop a fabulous linen from La Tavola. We accented the table with simple mercury glass votive holders, miniature pink spray roses in full heads & petals to give it a simple romantic look.

I have been on hiatus for a bit from blogging. My husband and I recently moved to Oceanside for his new job and things have been a little crazy. But, without further adieu, here are the images from the Wonderlandia tablescape I did for Hostess With The Mostess' launch party that took place last month in San Diego.

I couldn't have done this tablescape without the amazing team of vendors including my favorite florist in the world, Peony & Plum, as well as Blue Magpie Invitations and La Tavola Fine Linens.

Jenn of HWTM asked me to design the wedding tablescape for her launch party and I couldn't say no (see sneak peak above). Here's a little taste of the other 5 tablescapes at the launch party for Hostess With The Mostess. You can see more on her blog.

I was so excited when I heard that Jesi Haack would be there since I'm a huge fan of her work. She was given the baby shower tablescape and I love the trend of sharing whether the baby is a boy or girl by having the inside of the cake reveal the color (blue or pink). Adorable. And it's always great to see, Carissa, of JL Designs who did the florals for Jesi's table.

There was also a kids birthday.

and it was great to see Carolyn after a while who was asked to do the adult birthday party tablescape.

This event was a ton of fun to be a part of. Thanks again, Jenn, for letting me be a part of it.

Sneak Peak: Inspiration Wonderlandia

I previously posted that I was invited to design a wedding tablescape for the Hostess With The Mostess Launch Party that was on Friday Night in San Diego at the Hotel Solomar on the rooftop.

The only perameters were that it had to be int the theme of Wonderlandia and had to use shade of the colors red, orange, and green with accents of yellow, black or white.

So I decided to go very bright & cheery with the color scheme using magenta pink, bright orange, bright yellow, and bright green against all white containers including tea pots, tea cups & saucers, and water pitchers.

La Tavola sponsored the event by letting us use their linens to I chose the Tuscany Limestone for a neutral palette to allow the bright colors to really pop off the table. And I used the Tuscany Crush color for the napkins and chair pads to add a little bit of pop.

Peony & Plum, my go to florist, took my ideas and inspiration board and once again exceeded my expectations and gave me a lot to work with. And Blue Magpie Invitations made all the paper goodies including the invitation, menu cards, drink me signs & table name.

We used orange & magenta dahlias, yellow billy balls, green mini hydrangea, magenta garden roses, yellow parrot tulips, orange ranunculus, and green trick carnations (the round balls of what looks like grass).

We also had to use the "Drink Me" from Alice in Wonderland and I went very summery with it giving each table setting an Izze in a color that matched the linen napkin perfectly. I can't wait to show you the images the photographer took, these ones are from my iPhone. : )

Real Wedding: Kelley & Rob, Part 1

When we sat down and talked about the look of this wedding, the bride Kelley and her mom, Ludie, said they wanted it to feel as if you were invited into an old southern mansion. This was the theme throughout the wedding infusing so many personal touches as if each piece was taken out of someones home.

The ceremony took place at the groom's parents house in their backyard. This place had special significance, since it was here that Rob proposed to Kelley.

The floral design by Peony & Plum exceeded everyone's expectations and was the talk of the party. The one-of-a-kind floral wreath chandelier that was suspended from the oak tree in the back yard of the groom's parents home was an amazing focal point for the backyard ceremony.

We used many props that were in the home including the blue and white vase filled with florals and lemons to help accent our beverage station.

Moss Initials were created to hang at th entrance to the backyard and were later repurposed at the escort card table.

Calligraphy Katrina did all of the calligraphy for this wedding including this tent card for the antique handkercheifs.

As soon as I set foot in the backyard I knew the tree was the perfect spot for the ceremony. And accented by the floral wreath chandelier and the swagged leaves down the aisle with clusters of florals and lemons just completed the look.

The bride's dress was a custom couture gown by Alina Pizzano Couture based locally in Pasadena.

I love these photos in the rose garden which is where the groom proposed to his beautiful bride.

The bridal party, ladies dressed in Lulu Kate gowns in the shade of Tiffany Blue.

Real Inspiration: Multicultural Glam - The Couple

This is part 2 of our Multicultural Glam shoot that I did with a fabulous team of vendors.

It was captured by Picotte Weddings who not only worked behind the lense, but in front as well.

The lovely & gorgeous Suthi & her husband Sanjay jumped in at the last minute to model for the shoot and had their associate, Star, capture the images of the 2 of them.

The stunning bouquet by Peony & Plum was filled with orange and red roses, pink ranunculus, golden and purple dendrobium orchids, purple anemones and lisianthus, pink cymbidium orchids, red kangaroo paw, succulents, and peacock feathers. I am in love!!!

The bride wore a hand made hair piece by Flora Bond which included white feathers, vintage fabric and vintage rhinestones. So gorgeous.

Hair & Makeup was done by the fabulous team at Fiore Beauty. So to die for.

The amazing wedding dress with lace accents was created by my girl Alina of Alina Pizzano Couture. She's based in Pasadena and her work is just impecable.

The groom wore a traditional Indian outfit that he actually wore when he and Suthi got married a couple of years ago. Love that he got some extra use out of it.

The boutonniere was created using a purple anemone and peacock feather by Peony & Plum.

The shoot took place at the historic Ebell of Los Angeles which was an amazing backdrop for all of these photos.

Suthi donned a second outfit, a traditional Inidan sari. The color is just amazing on her.

The bouquet from Peony & Plum just pops against the red sari. Love it!!

I love that photographers capture all the details of the day, down to the shoes, literally.

Again, The Ebell, was a fantastic backdrop, a canvas if you will for this shoot.

And how gorgeous is Suthi's authentic Indian jewelry. I mean wow.

This wedding above took place at Marvimon's sister property, Smog Shoppe, and the bride may look like she's walking on a cloud and that's because the aisle runner is made of faux fur. Love it.

You could even walk on a bed of roses like Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, who's Wedding Planner, Mindy Weiss, got the aisle runner from the Original Runner Co.

This is the most recent shoot we designed alongside a fabulous team of vendors at The Ebell of Los Angeles. All the amazing detail shots were captured by Picotte Weddings. The floral décor by the lovely Peony & Plum, was eclectic, bright and colorful and full of texture. She used a variety of flora & fauna including orchids, anemonies, roses, succulents, lisianthus, kangaroo paw, and ranunculus.

The colors of the tablescape popped against the Espresso Bengaline linen from BBJ Linen. The flowers were abundantly flowing out of the arrangements seen in an eclectic mix of vessels including Moroccan lanterns, wooden boxes, gold bowls, glass votives, and even a treasure chest.

The chairs with an embroidered gold pattern on chocolate brown leather were a bit of a fashion accessory to the table from Chameleon Chairs.

To add some more color to the table we added an authentic Indian Scarf from Picotte Weddings as a table runner.

The votive candle holders can be found at Luna Bazaar or sometimes at World Market. We also purchased the treasure chest at World Market as well.

The table numbers by Blue Magpie Invitations was wrapped in a fuchsia pink silk fabric.

I love all the texture that Peony & Plum used in the arrangements with the roses, succulents, lisianthus, orchids, and peacock feathers.

I love the the rental items from Classic Party Rentals, Unique Tabletop Collection, which added that touch of class including the Blue Glassware, Wooden Flatware, and Textured Amber Glass Chargers.

Blue Magpie Invitations hand wrapped each menu in gold cording and we accented the Wineberry Bengaline napkin from BBJ Linen with a peacock feather for a little added pizzazz.

The Moroccan Lanterns were purchased at World Market, but you can also find them online at Koehler Home Decor.

We also had a scrumptious "mini cake" made out of layered cookies & chocolate filling for each guest as our favor by Fantasy Frostings.

The Contempo Blue Glassware is so stunning, Classic Party Rentals also has the same style in amber and pink.

A couple of days ago I featured the recent wedding of Tamera Mowry, the other 1/2 of the identical twin pairing of Tia & Tamera from their 90's sitcom, Sister, Sister. I loved that show and watched it every week.

Tia and her now husband, Cory, got married at the Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara.

Kevan Hall designed her one-shouldered one of a kind wedding dress.

The photos were taken by Amy & Stuart and her fabulous wedding was pulled of by wedding planner Robyn Goldberg.

The bridesmaids wore styles by Tadashi, with Tamera as the maid of honor in her own style and color.

The fabulous cake was created by Cake Divas and is such a girly, girl cake. I love it.

Ok...when I was growing up I used to love watching Sister, Sister with the identical twins, Tia & Tamera. Now, Tia got married a little bit ago and is now pregnant, so now it's Tamera's turn.

I can't get over how spectacular these images are from Jose Villa, and uber talented photographer.

The design was created by Eden Rodriguez of End Design. Can I say GORGEOUS!!!

"For a sophisticated yet rustic wine-country look, event designer Eden Rodriguez decorated wooden farm tables with pale pink and white hydrangeas and roses, olive branches with olives and hundreds of white candles," as described by People Magazine.

And none other than planner to the stars, Mindy Weiss, pulled of this romantic and ethereal wedding for Tamera.

Her dress was by designer Carolina Herrera, it's just breathtaking.

I love that each of the bridesmaids, while in the same color and fabric, each is wearing a different design and each has a mono botanical bouquet, each one showcasing a single type of flower, each one different from the next. Love it!!!

Their wedding took place at the Villagio Inn & Spa up in Napa, California.

Again, I love the decor from End Design. So romantic and rustic yet chic.

And even though I'm dying to see what their cake looks like, all I could find out is that it was from Sweetie Pies, what a cute name for a cake company. : )

I stumbled across this photo on Ruffled Blog today and just had to see more of these Concarta Cake Toppers.

These toppers are an ode to a more traditional "bride & groom" a top a cake but with a modern twist.

I just can't believe that they're made out of paper.

They've got the simple all white with a hint of color.

Or the more detailed with hair color, suit color, and a colorful bouquet.

The details in the flowers are fantastic, and out of paper. It's just amazing.

I also can't believe the amazing attention to detail in the hair and the dress. I mean wow.

They've even got the birdcage veil and a man in uniform.

And pets too. How can it get better than that?

The Royal Wedding

I'm loving Kate's dress by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. It's so simple and elegant yet refined and fit for a princess.

The veil is stunning and the 1936 Cartier Tiara borrowed from the Queen is the perfect accessory.

They make such a cute couple.

And the tradition continued of waiting until they get to the balcony of the Buckingham Palace to have their first kiss as husband and wife.

The cake is very traditional and regal, perfect for this wedding, and bringing back a lot of old-fashioned cake decorating techniques.

And the getaway car fit for James Bond was adorned with balloons, ribbons and a "just wed" sign on the back as the couple drove off. Love, love, love. I can't wait to see images of all the royal receptions.

Royal Wedding: Princess Bride's

I'll admit it. I'm a true sucker for all things princess. I grew up as daddy's little princess and still to this day find a fascination for royalty, whether it be through movies or the royal monarchy of England. Everyone knows that the big day is tomorrow, the Royal Wedding of the Century they're calling it, when Prince William makes Kate Middleton, a commoner into a princess. It's a true Cinderella story. So, in honor of all things princess I thought I'd share some photos of real life princesses past & present as well as some of my favorite fictional princesses.

Who could forget the late Princess Diana and that enormous train. A true royal dress & a true 80's dress with those puffed up sleeves, but she pulled it off with grace & beauty.

Then there's the current Queen Elizabeth II, who at one time was a princess, so it still counts. : )

And one of the most famous royal princesses to date is still Princess Grace Kelly.

Hollywood Royalty in her own right before becoming a true royal when she married Prince Rainier III of Monaco.

And now for some other princesses, fictional sure, but still princesses. There's of course the infamous Princess Bride herself, Princess Buttercup who is set to marry a horrible jerk of a guy so he can become king, but of course true love wins when she gets to be with her true soul mate Wesley (he should have never lost that 'stache, thinking of Liar, Liar...he was so hot before and then shaved and ugghh, not so much).

Moving on to my favorite movie royal princess, Mia Thermopolis Renaldi, Princess of Genovia who had "Julie Andrews" as Queen Clarice for a Grandmother. If there's ever anyone living today that I could see being a fabulous queen it's Julie Andrews.

I loved her stunning off the shoulder sleeved dress with lace & embroidery and lost of sparkle with crystals and pearls all accented by a simple yet stunning tiara and a mantilla style veil. Love it!!! And yes, Princess Diaries 2 is one of my absolute favorite movies. I can't get enough of it.

And here's a more recent Disney Princess, Giselle, from the movie Enchanted. I loved how they mixed animation with real footage, brilliant.

And last but definitely not least, Danielle, playing a "modern day" Cinderella and pulling it off brilliantly. Cinderella is still my favorite story and it's been recreated in so many different ways, but I have to say that Ever After is still my favorite adaptation of this famous fairytale.

I can't wait to see tomorrow's Royal Wedding of William & Kate, the future King & "Queen" of England. I'm curious to see if they'll go traditional white for the floral decor, or if they'll go a little more modern and use color, color, color. Either way I'm sure it's going to be spectacular.

Fabulous Find: sTORIbook Weddings

One of my guilty pleasures is watching Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood. Then when I found out that they were teaming up to plan weddings, they had me at "weddings".

You can watch new episodes of sTORIbook Weddings on Wednesday nights on Oxygen. You can also download episodes on iTunes.

It's fun seeing a couple plan their wedding and choose surprises for each other.

And I love that each couple stays true to their personalities like this wedding being themed after a Hollywood Night Club.

And they also had a love for their pet rats, so there were rat shaped topiaries, the rats were given costumes and wheeled in on a wagon in a pink cake, and there were also rat shaped cookies. Sounds a little gross, I'll be honest, but I love that they let their love & personalities shine.

Plus who doesn't love seeing a couple who ballroom dances pull of a one of a kind first dance.

The bridesmaids even choreographed a little number of their own. If you're looking for a fun show to watch that has heart, sTORIbook Weddings is the way to go.

Real Inspiration: English Garden - Bride & Groom

As mentioned yesterday, this bouquet by Peony & Plum really was the inspiration for the whole shoot, then when we got the venue, Stone Manor, everything just fell into place from there.

Alina Pizzano Couture let us borrow one of her gorgeous gowns, crocheted by hand and drop dead gorgeous.

Calligraphy Katrina made these adorable signs reading "Kristen's Hubby" and "Daniel's Wifey".

Stacy Bisel did a fabulous job with the hair & makeup.

We had a lot of fun with the photo booth from Picotte Weddings, Inc. who also did the photography for this shoot.

Now for all of the extra details that gave even more personality to this shoot like this fabulous bouquet by Peony & Plum, which is really where the whole inspiration for the shoot began.

The boutonnieres by Peony & Plum are elegant and simple with roses, herbs, and berries and are displayed in a vintage jewelry box from Archive Vintage Rentals.

The stationary was done by the talented Calligraphy Katrina.

We re-used the same vintage sideboard from the cake table for this escort card table along with the vintage suitcases from Archive Vintage Rentals.

We had Calligraphy Katrina make all the escort cards, each laid on a bed of moss, plus the note pinned to the inside of the suitcase.

We also did a drink station with lemonade and sweet tea.

The bench, fabulous mirror, crocheted runner and pink glassware are from Archive Vintage Rentals.

Peony & Plum brought in the ceramic pitchers and the gorgeous flowers of course.

La Tavola Fine Linens provided the turquoise napkin we used as a placemat.

The cake table was one of the funnest things to create at the shoot. We had so much fun bringing all the pieces together to create a WOW statement.

The turquoise blue sideboard is from Archive Vintage Rentals along with the suitcase, glassware, ceramic vessels, and crocheted runners.

The beyond fabulous cake was done by none other than the extremely talented Fantasy Frostings.

I can't get over how adorable the roses are on the cake.

The stellar backdrop was from Picotte Weddings, Inc. and doubled as the photo booth backdrop which you'll see later this week.

The table wouldn't have been complete without the floral stylings of Peony & Plum, which just completed the whole look.

The photos were also captured by Picotte Weddings, Inc. who really helped capture the true essence of this shoot.

The pillows stacked next to the sideboard are from La Tavola Fine Linens. It helped us bring the inside comforts of home to this outdoor shoot.
